You're in the minority.
You sat and listened to me talk because there's an ache in you. Because the main weapon you carry with you on your hero journey - your body - isn't getting the upgrades or even basic maintenance it needs for the mission at hand.
Not because you're fat.
Not because you're "bad" and neglecting your body and SHAME ON YOU.
But because what you need to do in life, and what you're physically using as a tool for the job, have a mismatch. You might be an epic body-builder, but your mental health isn't in the right spot for your stressful trucking job, or you might be thirty pounds overweight after three kids and struggling to keep up any stamina to catch them. Mis-match. It's individual. Not one size fits all.
We're here to tune up and repair your weapon so it's primed for action with no more mismatch.
Not with four easy payments of 99.99 and a bunch of promises and perfect-toothed smiles and photographs that cost more than a month's salary.
Not with my personal story of being great and above you and knowing everything.
But with science.
With moments of calm.
With real daily thinking and commitment.
I really believe we all need time alone every day - people of faith often call this "quiet time" - but the twist is that sometimes we don't know what to do with that quiet time, so we just sit there picking our noses or scratching our butts for ten minutes and then, well, feel more behind than ever. We don't know how to work on ourselves because we can't SEE the work, so we turn "self-care" into "ice cream binge time," which is PHYSIOLOGICALLY THE OPPOSITE OF SELF-CARE. Yeah. We really do actually call self-harm self-care sometimes. And that's where this project comes in.
Originally designed for Soldiers during my time as a battalion surgeon, the Wellness Project is:
-Over 100 steps for you to take in itty-bitty increments to ACTUALLY take care of yourself
-A change system based on the Socratic method, adult learning science algorithms, and the best health research available to primary care physicians during its development
-An automated accountability system that will follow up with you
-A community focused ONLY on goal-reaching, with limited discussion so what's there is ALL ABOUT YOUR PROJECT so you can actually work without getting distracted
It's a project.
It's not a course, a workshop, a blablabla try this one weird trick so you can look like this stock image model bla blabla f that, F THAT SO HARD NO. I'm so TIRED of all the oversells and the tricks and the self-help toxicity. Look, you're either in, or you're out. Either you have the mismatch, and you want to tune up, and you trust me to hand you my tune-up toolkit and not a bag of snakes, or you don't.
And I mean, if you're here, you know me. You know I suffered a hardcore health breakdown after my mental weapon had a NASTY mismatch with the evil shit I saw as a sexual assault medical forensic examiner for a Fort Hood unit in the military. After my physical weapon snapped after years of chronic stress and no sleep and disease exposure, to where I became basically bedridden for over a year. Gained a lot of weight, too. I'm STILL working off the consequences of those mismatches. I'm STILL digging into the research studies to find the answers to healing a chronic pain and weariness that defies all treatment.
So you know me, and you know I've learned through hard knocks: I know what I'm talking about when I say THIS IS WHAT I WOULD DO DIFFERENTLY TO PROTECT MY WEAPON.
I know the techniques that I wish someone else had helped me through.
And if you know me, you know I know how to still kick ass and take names even when my name-writing pen's got a little funny bend to it.
This isn't about me and my experiences, though. I'm not one of these ahole gurus here to say "this worked for me and will work for you even though you and I have completely different phenotypes and resource needs and diet needs and jobs but yup you should be exactly like me" bla bla NO NO NO. I'm a real human, so instead of pretending I can pull all the answers from my experienced behind, I've taken the time to go, "hey, I DON'T know all the answers, so why don't we get our answers from the research?"
This jiujitsu meme sums it up.
The main difference between LOSING and LEARNING is with learning, we're picking up the patterns, asking the right questions, checking the right techniques to STOP GETTING CHOKED BY THAT SAME SAME MOVE.
If you're ready to break out of the LOSING pattern with your health and start turning that pain into LEARNING to LEVEL-UP -
Then put down a commitment cost. Make a blood pact with me - money represents your labor, your blood sweat and tears, after all - to make yourself commit to this thing. Because if you don't sacrifice for something, then you don't carry that internal itch that makes you USE it, that makes you SQUEEZE VALUE OUT OF IT. A trophy without the sporting event before it is just a nicknack.
So here's the value I can bring to the table:
-5 years of research and experience by a licensed physician - value at least $5000.
-Access to 200 pages of evidence-based ACTIONABLE steps and self-treatments. Value at least $80.
-Accountability timers, guidance, and secret community entrance. $150 door fee at least.
PLUS as a BONUS, I'll be keeping an eye out and considering dedicated Wellness Projects for pay-what-you-want telehealth and health coaching. (Yes, pay what you want. As in, you could drop me a twenty. Even though a normal doctor visit can cost hundreds.)
PLUS a subscription to the Tea-Time With Dragons digest, where you'll get first look at the health research I dig up on the science of relaxation.
PLUS first look previews from my courses, discounts on health foods like teas and herbals, and other bonuses that total to more than $100.
I am DEADLY serious about changing your health. That's why I demand action. So if you're NOT ready to take this next step with me, no hard feelings, I'll see you when you are. Put down what you think is fair, and if you genuinely can't afford to put down what your health is worth, then let's make a time pact instead. Contact me HERE, and commit to sharing a link to the Wellness Project once a week on your public social media with a tangible update of how it's affecting you. If you can't commit that, you're not ready to commit. And that's okay. Come back when you are.
Be honest with yourself, put down what you're ready to sacrifice, and let's prep that weapon for battle so your losses become level-ups.
